Dentsu America, one of Canon Inc.’s international ad agencies, commissioned Blue Barn to create an industrial rebranding video for Canon’s XU series of Pan Tilt Zoom cameras. Working closely with Dentsu, Blue Barn proposed an upbeat graphical style to highlight the camera’s HD quality, versatility, and rugged build. This approach would help distinguish Canon from previous efforts by others in the security camera business. Blue Barn cast, scripted and shot the 3-minute green screen piece and this 30-second version. A separate studio day was then devoted to beauty shots of the PTZ cameras.

Light & Motion
A new generation of pro video lights is changing production lighting in important ways. Mac Group, a reseller for Stella Pro Lights, needed promotional videos for their powerful, compact LED lights. Blue Barn wrote the scripts, cast for talent, and location scouted for the interior and exterior shoots. The Stella lights and our crew had a great shoot in the 20° January day and evening at the foot of the Brooklyn bridge.

Blue Barn has been creating motion animation product promos for Samsung’s Security Camera Systems for a couple of years. We write the scripts from basic bullet points. The magic happens when our motion graphics artist takes the product shots and stock images to create these final in-store kiosk videos. The direction is for simple, easy-to-follow shorts. The lack of a sound track was a choice made due difficulties in hearing the music.
