Canon – International Company

Canon's International Corporate Office Locations from Blue Barn Pictures, Inc. on Vimeo.

The term “international company” can sometimes be loosely defined. In Canon’s case, their international reach is undoubtedly global. Blue Barn designed a short, motion graphics piece to illustrate the 4 major office locations around the world. From concept to finish, we delivered the piece in 3 days, in time for viewing at Canon’s 2015 Global Expo at the Javits Center in New York City.

Canon – Global Services

Dentsu America, one of Canon Inc.’s international ad agencies, commissioned Blue Barn to showcase Canon’s vast Global Services capabilities. Our designers were tasked with adapting a corporate power point presentation into a free-flowing infographic-style video. This was shown on a continuous loop at Canon’s Expo 2015 New York event.

Canon – Satellite Office

Working closely with both Dentsu America and Canon USA, Blue Barn cast, shot, and edited this two-minute piece to demonstrate the seamless workflow and advanced mobile capabilities of Canon’s latest printer and scanner technologies. Satellite Office debuted at Canon’s 2015 Global Expo at New York’s Javits Center.

Canon – Moving Portraits

Using a Canon EOS-1D C, photographer and Canon Explorer of Light Michele Celentano captures 4K video and extracts high-resolution still images from the footage. Canon asked Blue Barn to go behind the scenes to document this process, interview Michele, and track her workflow step-by-step for this two-part video series.

After scouting dozens of New York area country clubs, Blue Barn filmed Michele over a two-day period at Westbury Manor on Long Island.

Part 2 included live computer screen captures with Camtasia, as Michele guides the viewer through her post production process.

Initially posted on Blue Barn’s Vimeo page and picked up by PetaPixel, the interview received thousands of views. Check it out here, or see both videos at Canon’s Digital Learning Center.

Dom Pérignon – P2

Blue Barn was asked to create a promotion video for internal use at Dom Perignon, a division of Moët Hennessy USA.

Martha Stewart played hostess for the launch of Dom Perignon’s new P2 Vintage 1998 Champagne at her home in East Hampton, New York. Blue Barn captured the event which included a Champagne reception with a number of celebrity guests, as well as a 3-D video installation curated by Leo Kuelbs that mapped out the journey of the P2 Vintage from 1998 to 2014.

Canon – Counterfeit

Counterfeit camera batteries are cheap and readily available. While tempting to potential owners, usage can cause a number of problems with the camera. Canon decided to educate customers as to how to detect the differences between a genuine Canon battery and the counterfeit models.

Canon asked Blue Barn to create a video to appear on their Anti-Counterfeit website and YouTube channel. Blue Barn scripted and designed an infographics-inspired piece to educate Canon customers of the importance of using genuine Canon batteries and how to spot a fake.

Canon – Stay Bright

You measure for size. For brightness. Are there obstructions? Then you begin to consider what would be the perfect projector for that location.
The projector solution is in these kinds of details.
With this in mind, Canon added 4 brand new installation projectors to their highly-regarded Realis Projectors product line. They immediately needed supporting videos for sales and marketing. Blue Barn tackled the entire project, from concept to scripts, voiceover, and graphics. Canon requested that the style should compliment the newly released print campaign. Final destinations include the corporate site, Youtube, tradeshows, and sales call support.
